Program Overview
Based in Fort Worth, TX, Cowtown Angels is a platform that enables local accredited investors to share deal flow, invest collectively, and collaborate on comprehensive due diligence in promising early-stage companies.
Cowtown Seed is a dedicated group of Cowtown Angels members who focus on very early-stage startups in the Fort Worth and Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. As a Cowtown Fellow, you gain direct access to angel meetings, founder pitches, and live due diligence rooms.
Note: This is a selective one-year, unpaid educational fellowship providing unmatched real-world venture investing and due diligence experience.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be current students with a GPA of 3.0 or above enrolled in qualifying programs:
Neeley School of Business
Finance, Fintech, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Marketing, Data Analytics, Accounting, Management, or Business Information Systems (BIS).
Davis College of Science & Engineering
Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology.
AddRan College of Liberal Arts
Economics.
Key Responsibilities
Fellows work side-by-side with angel leads on active investments throughout the deal lifecycle:
Financial & Market Modeling
Evaluate financial statements, pro formas, addressable market sizes, and unit economics.
Technology & IP Diligence
Examine technical defensibility, software architecture, patent filings, and competitive moats.
Founder Engagement
Connect directly with startup founders and executive officers to gather operational data.
Portfolio Management
Monitor portfolio company performance, milestone tracking, and follow-on fundraising.
